Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. Across Indonesia, IOM works on a wide range of activities in partnership with the Southeast Asian Government, civil society, and the donor community.

Mr. Jeffrey Labovitz is the IOM Chief of Mission to Indonesia since 2023. He has over 27 years of diverse experience in leading and managing development programmes, humanitarian response, and strategic responses to migration issues in various duty stations at the IOM headquarters, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe.
Prior to this appointment, he served as the Director of the Department of Operations and Emergencies at the IOM Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
Mr. Labovitz holds a Master of Arts Degree in International Relations from the University of San Diego, USA, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of California, USA, and an International Diploma in Humanitarian Affairs from the Hunter Colleague City University in New York, USA.
