"Protection is a powerful word. I remembered clearly last year when fighting broke out here between armed groups in Juba, forcing many civilians to flee seeking protection and safety.

We are one of the main humanitarian organizations in South Sudan working tirelessly to protect the civilian population, to provide food, shelter, medical attention, counseling and comfort to both them and our own staff members."

My colleagues and I here in IOM Jordan support the program staff who work directly with Syrian refugees.

With this in our hearts and minds, we feel extremely happy to be able to help the little children living in the Azraq refugee camp (pop 53,000) by providing transportation by bus to school every day. These protection activities for children are especially dear to my heart and make our jobs less tiring.
